Pros
There are some incredibly bright and talented people working at Planmeca. Many of the departments are made up of hard working, smart individuals. The friendships I made was the only thing that made working at Planmeca bearable.
Cons
I read these reviews prior to accepting an offer at Planmeca and discounted them as being disgruntled employees. While it’s true, that there are many unhappy employees, it stems from the toxic environment that is created by poor communication, lack of accountability and broken trust that continues to be fostered by the management team. Are you interested in teamwork? Planmeca is not the place for you. The company is full of “knowledge hoarders” who are determined not to share and actively look to give misinformation. Are you interested in exceeding expectations? Planmeca is not the place for you. Employees are consistently told to “stay in their lane” by superiors who are fearful of change. Are you interested in growing both personally and professionally? Planmeca is not the place for you. Age trumps talent which is seen as a threat at Planmeca. Be prepared to be belittled and discriminated against if you are a woman. “You will not be taken seriously because you are a woman” This is an actual quote told to me by a peer in my second week…the sad part is that it actually turned out to be true.
