Pros

While at Planview I really liked my boss and believed in the direction of the company. I enjoyed the people I worked with and took pride in my work and work product. However, once TPG bought the company, all the Executive Level people left, along with a significant portion of the employees. The people were what made the company amazing, and 90% of those people no longer work at Planview.

Cons

Most of the Execs are new to the company, and many of the new leaders across the organization are simply trying to run the company like the last place they worked. TPG is very hands on in terms of hiring/firing and direction of company, goals, and culture. This means the direction will change quarter to quarter to meet their expectations for profitability. Little to no appreciation or job security once TPG bought Planview. Trying to work with different people across the company became very challenging as it seemed everyone was new at their job and was unable to answer and deep questions re: products, functionality, security, or basically anything older than 1 to 2 years. No historical corporate knowledge.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your time at Planview, the leadership and your team. The company has grown significantly over recent years and went through several changes in a short period of time. In December of 2020, Planview was acquired by TPG and TA. Shortly after being acquired, Planview purchased Changepoint and Clarizen in early 2021. Our teams were busy integrating products, people and culture while navigating other business changes. At the same time, many of the long-term executive leaders from Planview decided to explore their next opportunity or retire, which required a new mix of leaders to maintain deep focus on the company culture and values to guide the business. Since that time, Planview's turnover has been its lowest in company history - while our employee engagement scores are the highest, they've ever been. Historical knowledge and context are powerful, and we are proud that there are many team members with over 10 years of service at Planview. Our recent acquisitions also boast employees with impressive tenure, who have continued to build with us. Our mission to "Build the Future of Connected Work" connects all of our team members - regardless of tenure, location, or role. We will continue to adapt to changes as we grow the business and encourage all employees to participate in leading Planview through its next phase. Pros

The team culture was incredible. Managers were very open and encouraging to explore new technologies and development processes. It was a very collaborative culture where engineers would often collaborate on solutions to complex problems which was especially nice given the displacement between all of the remote members of the team.

Cons

Outside of the team level, organization prioritization struggled. One day the stated priority might be one thing then the following day it would suddenly change. I would describe it as 'chasing a shiny object' instead of a thought out vision for what the project should be when it's complete.
