Pros

Hiring process was a breeze. Company pays for training and fully support growth. Super nice employees who will go above and beyond to help onboard you.

Cons

Strict 4 days a week in office. Alot of companies give some flexibility esp around summer and holidays or in office 3 days a week. It is hard for working parents especially child care is so expensive. Reconsider this if 4 days is not for you.

Pros

Great company culture. Everyone is welcoming and very willing to help! Really awesome steppingstone to create connections, enter working life, and learn about insurance.

Cons

Can be more old school about certain procedures but they are making attempts to adapt.

Pros

Nice people, not much supervisor interference

Cons

Extremely poor salary. Plymouth Rock salaries for downtown Boston area are insanely low. The management keeps pushing workers to do more as they are awarded with huge salary increases and bonuses, while the employees get burned out by a gestapo like work environment. Employees get a 2.5% -401k bonus at the end of the year. There is no matching 401K at PR, Instead of matching 4% to 8% of employee’s deposits to 401K’s throughout the year like most insurance companies do, PR gives a one time 2.5% 401k bonus 16 months after the year started. Basically they are paying employees the interest that was earned by not paying the employees matching throughout the year. There are no sick days. PR plays games with the state law on mandatory sick days by claiming their PTO days are sick time. If that is the case, then PR is meeting the minimum state requirement for sick days, but in return-employees are getting about 3-8 vacation days a year. (But PR does offer a free build your own loaded bake potato day once a year. And they really think that matters.) PR is making record profits in the hundreds of millions as they reward their management and the investing millionaire friends of the owner. Meanwhile, employees at PR are making a competitive salary that is a livable wage in the Boston area if it was 1988.
