Pros

No Pros other than the Local (Pakistanis) people working besides you. Cz only they support you in thick and thin, be it the local manager or local sdr You have to work strictly from office and have to attend Power Hour, stupid meeting at the start of every day rather than utilizing that time to make power dials People have different territories in different timezones and especially the PST guys have to stay back till 5 am dialing! All there selling strategy is Dial Dial Dial!

Cons

They dont trust their employees and they think we are working machines offshore. They give a ____ about u and so there is no policy on employee development and well being. They dont give you logic of anything and if you would go and talk to the management about something, they would simply try to pull things up to somehow prove that you are wrong. No one at podium talka about it being a "My company", all they say is "They, Them" etc. Ive been into many companies and people have attachments for their workplace but here, its just a company for people. - 2 weeks of unorganized training - They think that the offshore guys are nobody's (can't use the word here) and just working machines. The time is 7 pm to 4 am but people with Pacific timezone wor from 7 am till 5 am and sometimes 6. Because if they don't attend the stupid Power Hour daily or they they miss stand ups, they will be penalized! - No job security, they can just make up anything and give you PIP and to play you, they call it GBOT (Get Back on Track Plan). Please note, it could even be given to you if your manager have problem with your face and they can bring up anything to cover the actual reason. For eg, if the whole vertical runs low on number, that actual number is considered as a base point cz everyone else is either on it or a little up or down but what happens here is, you have to be at 2 sets per day to meet the out of the world 'podium maths' or this could be the reason for a GBOT! The other factors doesn't matter. That's PODIUM MATHS! - 0 policy on employee development - No strategy on selling, just Podium Maths and keep dialing - Oh I forgot to talk about the QCs; Qualified Calls lol. It has to be a 1 minute call made to a unique account to be counted as a QC and u have to do that 45/day. So they think it would make people efficient. So what people do, they do the voice mails too and get done with 45 QCs. If that relationship has been on trust, people would have made 100+ dials to different accounts to make their performance look great. - In my 6 months, I haven't come across anyone from HR. There is similar to no HR - A New Hire got fired in his 1st month cz he was not able to bring in the sets, without warning and his manager had some personality clash with him - No Leads, they keep on sending the leads which either you just disqualified or the previous rep disqualified within 60 days.

Pros

This has been a great place to work. It can be a lot of pressure, which is probably right on the cusp where some find the pressure to be compelling, and others find it toxic. So, I get why some people may justifiably not like it. Not sure if there's a definitive line between toxic and compelling. But, I personally have found it compelling. The constant challenge pushes me and has helped me avoid complacency. There's always a new challenge and something new to learn. I have a lot of confidence in the leadership, both middle management and exec. To be transparent, I'm distant enough from execs that I'm isolated from any rumored drama or toxicity. But, I've been here for a while and have never experienced any of the rumored toxicity in my infrequent direct interactions with leadership. They make mistakes, but any time mistakes are made, they are pretty quick to learn from them and right the ship.

Cons

It's a lot less fun than it used to be. There used to be a lot more lighthearted fun and silliness in the culture. There used to be a lot more jokes and casual conversation in Slack and heckling in town hall. Thankfully the work is still fulfilling. Just... not very fun anymore. The pressure can be a lot. It requires a bit of thick skin. The pressure is good to push you beyond what you think is possible. But, you have to be able to be honest with yourself and management to be able to communicate reality when the expectations are completely unreasonable. I honestly think it's a good culture. But, only if you can find the balance between allowing yourself to be pushed to learn and improve, and being able to effectively communicate and pushback to prevent burnout. It would be miserable for those that are too scared to surface issues to management or push back on other teams. And it can't just be whining. Frankness and honestly is good (and in my experience, has always been appreciated). Whining is not helpful or good.

Pros

Cool office building, learn from some of the best sales reps you’ll come across in your career

Cons

I worked at podium for a few years. It was the most toxic sales culture I’ve ever experienced. I do not say that lightly It was worth the money a year/two plus ago. They raised quotas multiple times in the last year and decreased the commission percentages. It is wild how many hoops an ae had to jump through to close a deal. In my 7+ of being in sales it was probably the hardest sale to close and I was a top rep. If you want to join podium it could be a good learning experience but it will come with a lot of headaches, anxiety about job security (they pip sales reps out like no other company I’ve ever worked for) and maybe some tears
