Pros
I was compelled to write a review because I saw some negative ones that to me felt to portray Polly incorrectly. To me these seem like disgruntled former employees who were not used to working in a start up environment. Starts up by nature are "messy" and in constant change. The best ones are because they are trying to pivot in real time. I think that overall the mission and product that Polly has created in the insurtech space is really promising, and I have confidence we can get there with some recent org shifts. As a parent to young kids, I find that the work/life balance is really great, better than at other start ups I've worked at , which right now in my life is a really important factor. Also, I appreciate the flexibility they have for working remote or hybrid in the office.
Cons
Like I said above, starts up by nature are chaotic. There is constant restructures and changes in priorities which can get exhausting at times. A lot of the leaders are very green in their career and sometimes can fumble their way through and have that deer caught in headlights feel.
