Legal loop hole to not pay redundancy - Receptionist/Administrative Assistant Populous Employee Review

I worked for the company for one year and was then forced into signing a three month extended contract under the premise I still had my job but all of the directors were on holiday so the three month contract was to tie me over until they were back. They actually then made me and many others redundant and due to the three month temporary contract managed to use a loop hole in paying me any redundancy pay.
