Pros
CEO is seems very nice. Doesn't seem like he understand what has been going on. There are some fantastic people here who dedicate any spare time to their performance at Pragmatics. Sacrificing all of their personal time to do the job right. Everyone here wears many different hats for no pay bump or thank you. There is new leadership within the last year. All seem very capable of helping Pragmatics turn things around, only if they can speak sense to the CFO of the company (also the wife of the CEO). Makes things very difficult. There are a lot of great qualities of Pragmatics they are just not utilizing. The only reason I have stayed is because of my direct manager and my teammates. If my manager leaves, I will follow suit.
Cons
Sadly the cons out weigh the pros with this company. Many people come to the same conclusion which is why they don't stick around. For all the nice changes happening, it might be a little too late. We have a company that hasn't won anything major in years. I don't know all who are involved but certainly with all the changes this is the one area that has not. Maybe it's time for a change there as well. Since this is a performance based industry, much like all others. We haven't won new business which is their primary role, which would mean they are not performing. Not saying they don't work hard, but are they working smart, together. I'm hearing that most programs are failing due to poor management. I can say we are being forced to use PTO because we don't know the status of our contract. People are leaving left and right, there are holes all over this leaking ship. I hear the relationships that we are to maintain, we have not. There are so many former colleagues telling me you don't know how depressed you have been until you are out. There is zero training. Meaning no career opportunities. The only real career opportunity is, we wear so many hats for so little, give it a year in this hostile environment and you will be the most attractive candidate elsewhere because Prags will not be able to recognize or if they do, do anything about it. Our bonus for the end of 2018 was laughable, might as well just give me a slip saying your bonus has been donated under your name. At least the cause would have been more gratifying.
