Pros

The people are nice. The majority lack a sense of ambition, but if you want a job where you have a paycheck (although below market) and the possibility of a promotion if you stay long enough, and you live in the area and don't want to commute this may be the place for you. No judgement it just is what it is.

Cons

Definitely a political climate. Your experience will greatly be determined by those who support and like you. This is not uncommon in companies, but helpful to know. For landbased employees there is no career track or development you are on your own. This company is cheap. You have been warned.

Pros

You get to see a lot of different ports; you don't have to worry about food or paying for your room and board. You get to meet varies people from around the world.

Cons

The pay is not the best for people living in the USA. The job is still enjoyable, and the experience is worth it but this is better as a fresh out of high school or college type of role, or in a sense a way to "backpack through Europe" kind of job.
