Pros
ummm I really can't think of any, I just need to meet a 20 word minumum
Cons
This is the most unprofessional work environment you will ever encounter. For starters, the average age is probably 25-26, which results in a lot of inappropriate behavior and no ability to learn from co-workers with more work and life experience, as well as zero variety. Management is a wreck, those who kiss up or complain get rewarded, lots of bragging on personal success and discouragement/envy among co-workers. You are promised commission and raises that are rarely seen unless you are the best in the office. You get spoken down to like a dog who is being housebroken, they literally say they want to micro-manage you, a word which is hated by many sales managers. They say you will build your own empire and book of business, but treat you like elementary students on a time-specific schedule. Rumors of office higher ups using drugs during the work day and keeping around individuals who don't do any actual work because they are his buddies. They don't allow you internet access during the day until you reach a certain sales number, then once you do reach it they deny it to you saying it will be a distraction. While the experience may be valuable going into the next job, I advise getting that experience else where. Very few people make a career here, it is a stepping stone job, the turnover rate is baffling. There is absolutely zero advancement opportunity. Many sales practices they teach you are very frowned upon with other companies, and can be hard habits to break. If you have interest in sales, stay away. Also do not get caught in the belief you are "working in sports" by taking this job, it would be comparable to saying you work in movie production because you worked the counter at a video rental store. If you want to be stagnant, feel stuck in life and work, dread waking up in the morning, feel like you are in a middle school locker room, and not reap any benefits from your job other than a mediocre paycheck then this is the place for you!
