Pros

There are NO PROS for this company and or PRISON.

Cons

The list of cons for this position as well as the company is honestly ENDLESS. If you are decent human being and value respect and honesty this is NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU! If this company finds you on one of the many job search engines and or LinkedIn, kindly deny the opportunity because it is not an opportunity at all it is a JAIL SENTENCE! The interview process is "too good to be true" they hook, line and sinker you into false hope and yet another get rich quick scheme. You have absolutely no voice, when you ask a question about a prospect/lead the manager will SCRIPT an email and if the email is not 100% word for word, prepare to be verbally berated on how stupid you are in front of the entire office. They talk about employees in front of other employees and even in front of you! The "senior" guys are just a bunch of low-life losers with nothing better to do than talk about younger employees and how great the good old days were as well as harping about how hot this woman was and how they cheat on their spouses...there is a ton of smack talking 8:30-5:30pm, especially if you are 2-3 minutes late from lunch, expect to get a melodramatic email about how the perception in the office is that you don't care about the job when you are late from coming back from lunch. The management is a bunch of pathetic, mindless control freaks that started at the company in the early 2000's and think they are GOD. They treat everyone like children and take 45 minutes to draft up an email telling you how dumb you are and how you will never amount to anything so why not just do us all a favor and quit! The job plain and simple is a scam, wholeheartedly they rob business owners thinking they will get a return on investment when in reality they will just be paying $19,500 for a full-page ad that will NEVER GET THEM ANYTHING but a good laugh from the senior staff telling others how much they took advantage of yet another innocent person and or company. The ads are absolute garbage, they literally give you a scripted pitch rebutting any objection a business owner or professional gives you, word for word, pitch for pitch is the same in every lead, local or regional they are all just garbage. You are making anywhere from 150-200 calls a day, all COLD calling. The lead system is a dinosaur and all of the leads are set up by management and the senior staff. There are no portfolio-based accounts and or regions that you are responsible for, in short, the entire country is against each other. You need to draft up an email to the VP of Sales and his receptionist to see if you are able to get a lead, it is the WORST system I have ever seen in my life. Not only are you scheming and robbing customers, by the next week that customer might not even be yours. Do yourself and your sanity a favor and STAY FAR AWAY from this place. They will ruin your life!

Pros

ummm I really can't think of any, I just need to meet a 20 word minumum

Cons

This is the most unprofessional work environment you will ever encounter. For starters, the average age is probably 25-26, which results in a lot of inappropriate behavior and no ability to learn from co-workers with more work and life experience, as well as zero variety. Management is a wreck, those who kiss up or complain get rewarded, lots of bragging on personal success and discouragement/envy among co-workers. You are promised commission and raises that are rarely seen unless you are the best in the office. You get spoken down to like a dog who is being housebroken, they literally say they want to micro-manage you, a word which is hated by many sales managers. They say you will build your own empire and book of business, but treat you like elementary students on a time-specific schedule. Rumors of office higher ups using drugs during the work day and keeping around individuals who don't do any actual work because they are his buddies. They don't allow you internet access during the day until you reach a certain sales number, then once you do reach it they deny it to you saying it will be a distraction. While the experience may be valuable going into the next job, I advise getting that experience else where. Very few people make a career here, it is a stepping stone job, the turnover rate is baffling. There is absolutely zero advancement opportunity. Many sales practices they teach you are very frowned upon with other companies, and can be hard habits to break. If you have interest in sales, stay away. Also do not get caught in the belief you are "working in sports" by taking this job, it would be comparable to saying you work in movie production because you worked the counter at a video rental store. If you want to be stagnant, feel stuck in life and work, dread waking up in the morning, feel like you are in a middle school locker room, and not reap any benefits from your job other than a mediocre paycheck then this is the place for you!

Advertising Sales Director - an HONEST review

Pros

- They teach you how to sell over the phone - Teach you work ethic, and let you know immediately if you are cut out for sales or not - Sales incentive trips (incredible time, IF you can make them) - 18 paid days off per year - Close the offices for the last 2 weeks of the calendar year - The company pays 100% of your health insurance - Not a suit and tie gig, very laid back office dress code

Cons

- Upper management is set in their ways, "we have always done it this way so we will continue to do it", even though times have clearly changed - Upper management is COMPLETELY OVERPAID, half of them just bark orders at you and do nothing to help you while they collect a fat paycheck - You will be sent emails CONTSTANTLY on how "even some of the WORST sales reps can sell this package, why arent you" - its completely uncalled for and very degrading - The CRM is so outdated its scary, glitches constantly - They give away your sales & accounts to other people if you don't try and sell them into every single living thing they offer - The tickets that they get are so overpriced its insane, the ticket money comes OUT of your sale which you do not get paid on, you can find tickets on Stubhub for 70% less but since the company is selling the tickets and making money on them they could care less - If you become a middle desk, you will waste a large portion of your day helping people that just got out of training who have no clue what they are doing - and you are not compensated for it what so ever
