Pros

Working at PSP taught me to have a very thick skin and pushed me out of my comfort zone. It was a good place to learn and gave me an opportunity to make money straight out of college. I left on good terms with the company and did see some people manage to work their way up, but those people were few and far between

Cons

This company is unethical. Im not sure who all of these VP of sales reviewers are because the only one I ever met resigned a couple months after I quit. I never got my last paycheck or the commission I earned. While working at PSP I was verbally abused by my “manager” (what they call managers in the interview process are actually just senior sales people with no sort of management training who get paid extra to criticize you). This specific one literally told me to “fix my voice” along with other things I don’t want to repeat. I was constantly told I’d be fired if I didn’t start performing better even though I was performing the same as, or better than, some of the guys in my training class.

​We are sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience here. ​I​ can tell you that we generally get extremely positive feedback from our employees regarding the culture here. Most describe it as a very friendly and positive environment. ​As far as being unethical, it's really tough to fathom what you mean by this. ​Also, no one is ever "threatened" ​here ​and certainly not "abused." Anyone making this claim is being dishonest. Of course, in a sales job you are expected to sell. We place very high value on communication here and will always let you know where you stand, whether its good news or bad. Unfortunately it does not work out for everyone and we probably have a much higher patience threshold for low sales than do most sales companies.

Pros

Working with PSP is unique because you have firsthand access to Major league sports material. It's cool to say I work in sports publishing. I like my coworkers and those in office with me. We have good camaraderie and keep the office culture lively.

Cons

I do not feel valued by this company. This winter we had three heavy snowstorms and when I asked if I the company would be closing for safety, my boss looked at me and laughed saying "the company doesn't care about that." Turns out many of my coworkers have had to drive through blizzards and awful conditions in order to come in multiple times. Recently the company decided to give us "summer Friday's", except in order to receive the benefit of leaving at 2pm on Friday, we had to come in a half hour earlier everyday all summer to "make sure we're not losing manpower". This doesn't make me feel like you value my time or want to make sure I have a healthy work/life balance. I'm expected to bend over backward and still preform at max capacity. I feel like the company would take an chance to screw over it's employees to cut costs and I don't appreciate working under that type of management style.
