Ridiculous pay, don’t work here - Medical Assistant Proscribe Employee Review

Proscribe takes advantage of premed/pre-health students who are looking for patient care experience. The job requires skills training and certification, yet Target and McDonald’s employees get paid better! They know that premed students have no work experience and that we need them more than they need us in that respect, and so we make do with the meager hourly pay. At the start of Covid, they didn’t even provide N95 masks to their own employees. Don’t let me get started on scheduling. Even if you have a valid emergency and can’t show up to work at the last minute, they will berate you and give you a hard time about not being able to find someone to cover your shift. For the work, responsibilities and the stress from the actual workplace, $9 an hour didn’t seem to be worth it in the end.
