I am really sorry that you had a bad experience working here.
Sometimes, things don’t work out the way two parties expected. And that’s OK.
But if business travel is the main gripe, I am going to guess you’ve been fortunate enough to not have to travel extensively. Because if you did, you’d realize that meeting prospects, clients and employees in person is not only the right motion for business, it’s essential.
But the process of getting to airports, delayed flights and being with throngs of passengers sneezing, coughing, etc is anything but fun.
Sales involves travel and I do it happily, because it is a part of my job.
I fully understand the cost control side of things, and while travel is an expense, it is more than offset by the savings we get from me acting as our salesperson over this time.
We have grown our business over the last 4 years, opened two new offices, so obviously, we are landing clients and growing our revenue.
Your point about cussing is valid. I’ll watch that more going forward but I can assure you it’s not to look cool.
I am proud of what Provoke currently is and what it will become. As you aren’t bought into the vision, I am happy that you have the opportunity to join a company that has a vision you do believe in.
Wishing you the only best.
