Pros
They mandatory "Care Rally's" where they raffle off prizes such as TV's, tablets and gift cards. The idea is nice but doesn't make up for the overwhelmingly negative experience they bring.
Cons
They took over the hotel and forced the entire sales team to start working 50 hour work week while only paying them for 40 hours. They stated that the money would be made back up in "your incentives", didn't amount to anything more than a $100 visa gift card. Their culture is to make you work more and when people leave (not just one or two) instead they force you to take up their additional responsibilities all while maintaining you don't go over on your hours with constant email notifications of your current time sheet because "we can't afford to pay you overtime". Forced majority of the hotel's staff to take PTO during Thanksgiving even though the majority didn't have PTO to spend because Pyramid had just taken over in October - most of the staff didn't receive full pay checks that week due to the forced shutdown. Five people have left the sales department since Pyramid has come in and they haven't hired anyone - yet they complain about missed calls and low room occupancy, we're understaffed folks. All in all Pyramid has proven to be the worst company I've ever worked for. They take care of their own - those who they brought in - and their actions show that they can care less about the people who've been at this hotel for YEARS. They've lost a lot of valuable knowledge both client and market wise by essentially running people into the ground. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT TAKE THE JOB. I PROMISE YOUR SANITY WILL THANK ME/YOU FOR IT.
