Pros

Fun work environment and office culture. Coworkers are your friends. Great opportunity to work on multiple projects/skills.

Cons

BUT if I had a penny for every time I was told to "wing" a client presentation, lie about my age, exaggerate on analytical reports, "just make it sound good", etc. I would be rich (which is ironic since their pay scale is far below the city's average). They want cheap labor, don't invest in employee development and sell services and software that they don't know how to accurately use. In addition to this, Pyxl had very poor communication and moral within my department. Managers and HR say they care about employee growth and company culture but their actions speak differently. Employees are expected to work well over 40 hours a week, EVERY WEEK! We also are supposed to have biweekly meetings with managers to talk about a growth plan, projects, successes/challenges, etc. but more times than not these got cancelled or the manager had zero feedback for you. If you tried to bring any of these issues up with HR, there wasnt any confidentiality. This made it extremely difficult to have a voice as an employee (again, which I found ironic considering Pyxl is a digital communication firm). Overall, my experience was very negative, and I would not wish that upon anyone. When it was time to part ways, I was treated poorly and unprofessionally. I guess I should have seen this coming with how terrible their turnover rate is.

Pros

There is so much opportunity for growth personally and professionally. I am not afraid to take risks or be assertive. We get to work on interesting and challenging projects. People are collaborative and enjoyable internally. We are asked to work hard but we are rewarded for the effort and treated kindly and fairly.

Cons

Hard work can be, well, hard.
