Pros

everything is pretty simple to learn you get 2 paid 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute unpaid lunch 20% employee discount pretty fast paced opportunity to accrue pto paid training decent pay

Cons

a given is downsides with some customers, unfortunately a lot of their anger comes from experiences with a previous rep. a lot of inaccurate info is given or a rep does something wrong/doesnt do what they said they would. so you're having to do damage control plus whatever help the customer is looking for. you tend to become a verbal punching bag at some points, which can be frustrating. management isnt very helpful at all. the MAIN con is how many system issues the company tends to have. had a major issue with equipment multiple times and each time took a while to sort out. on top of that, there are many system crashes and freezes. or the system just not allowing you to preform multiple activities. in turn angering customers even more, but more-so just overall frustrating when you are trying to do your job. there are opportunities for advancing, but unfortunately i was given very limited assistance when i tried-- despite all of my performance ratings being very good.

Pros

Only pros - wfh and you get a nice discount

Cons

Everything else. Management/corporate have unrealistic kpis. You can only use the rr during your SCHEDULED break. You have to offer a sale to EVERY CALLER even if they are already upset. You can NOT hang up even if the customer is screaming/offending you. My manager once said I should’ve been more patient. Mind you the customer was already using foul language and belittling me. I POLITELY asked the customer to please refrain from using that kind of language. It continued and I told her I would have to release the call. Also you stop getting a raise after 2 years. You cap at $17/hr.
