Thanks for this thoughtful review. Although we haven't had waves of lay-offs (there has been a single lay-off in the 12 year+ history of the company, and that was before the $10M round we closed recently), one is one too many for our taste, and you are right that there we should be more careful hiring, that we invest a lot of time and money in our staff, and that we want to help them succeed --this is the main reason we hire more every year. We have made changes to try to achieve that, and will continue to get better as we continue to grow.
All that said, this doesn't sound like a review from a current employee, as (s)he wrote "they have to", "they have" and "they can", so it's clear (s)he's not a part of us.
As I wrote before, the most helpful reviews are from current Liberators --those who have not been terminated, and those are almost unanimously good.
It's unfortunate that Glassdoor does not verify employment (https://help.glassdoor.com/article/Does-Glassdoor-verify-employees/en_US), which would be easy to do.
