Pros

Dedicated, team members. Willing to do whatever is needed to do it right.

Cons

This is a software as a service company regardless of how they want to brand themselves. They have a large contingent of very dedicated employees but the company lacks true vision and direction. New CEO has been listening to the yes men and thinks he has world class software and infrastructure! JUST THE OPPOSITE. Software offerings need rebuilding from the ground up using standard processes. The disconnect between US and India teams only adds to the lack of focused direction.

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
