Pros

Reliable Paycheck every 2 weeks Coworkers are intelligent and want to succeed Decent health insurance Always work to do, keep busy

Cons

Senior management makes consistent empty promises, no follow thru and no acknowlegement, whether it be a hello on a daily basis or a job well done. Favoritism runs amuck, promotions based on who you know, not if you are qualified No Communication between management and staff

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
