- ability to stretch and learn - employees encouraged to define professional goals and work to achieve them - honest feedback and coaching from leadership - entrepreneurial environment allowing for accountability around employee developed initiatives - limitless opportunities for driven individuals - "lifelong learning" mentality - you don't have to be an SME initially to work a project; you just have to want to learn and put in the time and effort to become an SME
Cons
- don't look to be spoon fed, you must seek to grow your own knowledge base - must be proactive - if you are a "nut" for structure - this may not be the place; employees are expected to use their common sense and business savvy to address basic issues
