Pros

Starting pay for pre-registration reps is better than most places at $14/hr, good benefits and maternity/paternity leave is a plus, ability to work from home, normal hours

Cons

Management often tells you what you want to hear in order to get you to do what they want, they won’t keep their word, favoritism is huge, and unexcused absence policy is a bit ridiculous — only allowed 4 in a rolling 12 months

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
