Pros

Working from home, that was all!

Cons

DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!!! The Kalamazoo, MI location specifically is one of the worst employers I have EVER worked for. Most of the colleagues are uneducated to have the positions they do and most jobs are given from being an butt kisser or relative and it is clearly obvious. Poor communication from the CEO all the way down with literally everything. My whole year and change at the company I was harassed and picked on by a former team leader and higher ups. Don’t be fooled by the interview as it will seem sweet but once there you will understand how horrible of a company this is. We are connected with hospitals who already provide registration service to their patients. Patients get millions of calls from R1RCM and the hospital so they are confused and think the calls are prank as most are older patients. This company is a fluke as it can get and I’m so glad that I left when I did. On top of that they do not pay you enough for the horrible work environment you’re in plus all the unneeded drama that I tried so hard to stay away from. Coming to work and minding your business apparently created more problems for me.

Pros

The voluntary separation offer was good.

Cons

I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
