      Pros

      The view from the 27th floor was truly beautiful. There were some great people that worked there. There was beer on Friday afternoons.

      Cons

      This company was all about chewing up and spitting out every thing that it came into contact with employees, client, etc. There was no QA for there product, no SOX compliance, no ability to scale their toolset. Everyone in IT wanted to be the hero so no one wanted to collaborate.

      The voluntary separation offer was good.

      Cons

      I and hundreds of colleagues were transferred from Providence Health & Services to R1. We were told we were guaranteed our jobs for a year. They started offering voluntary separation packages less than a year in. This was suspicious. I didn't take the first couple of offers, but eventually I did - things were feeling uneasy. Since leaving I've heard that there were several layoffs. R1's India team has taken over a lot of the coding we were doing. In the reviews I read before we started with R1 I know losing jobs to the India team was common. I'm glad I left when I did but it's been hard finding a new job.
