Pros

Honestly, this firm is hands-down the best firm I've ever worked for. The partners are very kind and empathetic, and really try to make the firm into a familial atmosphere. They really care about your growth and development, and if you show the same kind of desire within yourself, I found that they will give you many opportunities to find that growth as an attorney and as a person. The culture at the firm overall is also a very friendly one. I've worked at firms where whisper campaigns develop and where you find you need to spend an unintelligent amount of time and energy looking over your shoulder. RMO is not one of those firms. I've also worked at other firms where I really didn't want to spend time with coworkers outside of working hours. But at RMO I found that even outside of normal work talk, and outside of work, I had some of the best conversations with coworkers that became fast friends. The work is also interesting, and I found it to be in many cases very impactful as well. Working in this area of law, you encounter a lot of people dealing with grief, sometimes in odd ways, but at the end of the day I found that clients very often appreciated the work being done at RMO, which is always helpful as a motivating factor. The pay is also really great, and it doesn't have the same pay-stress association that you can expect to see at many firms. This is not to say that you can expect not to work--there is, of course, always an expectation that you will work for your salary, like at any job. However, some firms have the expectation that you should give your entire life to the firm for your salary, and at RMO, they understand that you have a life to live as well. So, the expectation is, essentially, do good work when you're at work, and then go and live life. It's pretty much all you can ask for in a firm. Mental health is also a huge issue in our industry. Whereas other firms I've worked for haven't said a single word about mental health, at RMO I found that from the beginning they were concerned with things like burnout, etc. If you get into an early habit of clear and honest communication with the partners about things you're dealing with, they are incredibly helpful and empathetic and want to get you back on track. At the end of the day, I really can't say enough good things about how much I loved working at RMO, and how much I appreciated my coworkers (to include the partners). I wish I could have worked there longer--the only reason I left was because of other life circumstances totally unconnected with work.

Cons

The only "con" I can think of (which is really not much of one, to be honest) is the fact that they aim for a superior (if not perfect) work product for their clients, which can be a difficult standard for some to live by. That said, even though it can be challenging, it forces your growth and development as an attorney (if you want to grow and develop, that is), and the expectations of you are no higher than what the partners have for themselves. So if you want to coast in your practice, it's not the best place to be. However, if you actually want to improve your practice, and you want solid mentorship on your growth, this is one of the best places you can work.

Pros

Before I started at RMO, I was at a firm where I wasn't challenged professionally or encouraged to grow. After my first interview with the founding Partner, Scott E. Rahn, I knew instantly, this is where I wanted to work. Once I started at RMO, a more senior level attorney became my mentor. This mentorship transformed my work product and leadership skills. Each attorney at RMO is well educated and known in the community as the best of the best. I am honored every week to collaborate on cases with such talented attorneys and staff. The attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, billing department, management and intake team at RMO are the most professional people I have had the pleasure of working with. If you’re considering an alternative career path, where you’ll have mentors, work on dynamic cases in a team environment, and most importantly, grow professionally, I highly recommend reaching out to RMO.

Cons

I do not have any cons.

Pros

They have a few offices in the LA area.

Cons

They say one thing and do another. Actions are not true to their words.
