Pros
Great place as a resume item or your first IT job. A lot of good hardworking colleagues and intelligent peers. Lots of technologies you can get exposed too. Benefits are mediocre. 401k is bad if you make < 6 figures. If you're lucky, you might get a good manager.
Cons
- Job went largely metric oriented (performance is based off number of tickets done, phone calls taken, etc...) - You have little control over your daily schedule (lunch and break time) - High turnover rate / Lots of good talent lost - The last few years there have been layoffs and outsources, job security may feel bleak - Going the extra mile is expected, so no matter how hard you work, you are always just "meeting" expectations - Difficult to move up. Management adds extra hoops every year to prevent promotion cycles and bonus's - Don't expect pay raises - Voluntold to do a lot of things - Lots of empty promises from senior leadership
