Pros
Driven lower-level staff, great mission, promising future with merger
Cons
Long working hours, high-pressure, constant changes, low morale Unfortunately, for a place driven by such positive values, it is wrought with injustices (on select teams) — unfair treatment of lower-level staff, protection of management-level individuals with repeated HR offenses, and nepotism. If you’re a recent graduate, perhaps this is a place to go for a few years, as the colleagues at the lower levels make it worthwhile. However, be prepared to step into a ‘living’ episode of the Office, except one that induces panic attacks instead of laughs. Sadly, there is little room for career advancement and almost no recognition of achievements for anyone below the Director level. Vacation time is not valued and questions will be asked when taking time off, despite working long hours. There is a glimmer of hope with the merger, but if certain individuals remain, the negative cycle of high turnover will surely continue. My advice? Just don’t do it.
