Before I left, I was in charge of scheduling interviews for people to replace my position, where I learned on accident that the new salary for my position was around $12k over what I was being paid. While I know this is a presumably a result of inflation and common practice at many companies to pay new talent more than current employees, I think Rainforest Alliance would do better with rewarding existing staff to increase their retention rates.
