Pros
You get your pay in a timely fashion every month. You get to work with nice, interesting people from various nationalities. There is always work to do and the product is successful. The company has learnt from some past errors and is currently going in the good direction. They provide some benefits like health insurance. Human Resources are nice and frendly.
Cons
In the Barcelona office there is no much room for promotion and position mobility is scarce in technical and IT jobs. This paired with poor percentual yearly raises unless you get promoted (average 2% raise per year after a good-to-excellent performance review) that don't even match the growth of the costs of living in the city, will make you feel like you get less the longer you work here. The accumulative % might work well for american salaries but it falls on the short end here considering we get far less. This method punishes the lower pays and benefits the higher ones. Since you will be in touch with overseas teams, you will have to work overtime sometimes (overtime is not paid, but you can negotiate with management to take off hours from other days if it happens often) Any change of position or promotion, if you are lucky to get one, is usually slow since it has to be approved by a whole chain of management and superiors from around the globe, and most likely happens after several months.
