Pros

Being a small company you'll get hands on experience fast and expected to make quick impact. As a developer you'll get involved in everything from design to deployment and supporting the product. The team is smart and supportive.

Cons

- You might have to travel a lot depending on the project you are on. Something that has gotten better with the years. - Customers are not smart, and some even very pushy. Providing support can be challenging

Pros

Reddwerks has a small company feel, which means room to develop or shape process. There are always problems to sink your teeth into, and Reddwerks's breadth of customer means a wealth of insight into a variety of supply chain concepts. Strong benefits package, competitive salaries, free drinks/snacks in the breakroom, and occasional 'happy hours' in-office help take the bite off sometimes-long-hours, crunch times, and other threats to work/life balance that are typical of smaller companies. Most of the staff are very friendly and more than willing to assist. It is an opportunity to work alongside very intelligent, specialized professionals.

Cons

This is a smaller software company with a rapidly growing customer base, which means crunch times can go from tiring to brutal. The pace of operations often results in high turnover for some departments, though the survivors form a fairly rock-solid core. This unfortunately means that specialized product knowledge or expertise can remain precariously dependent on one individual. As such, moving on from a project becomes more difficult. There is no corporate card for travel, which leaves employees fronting travel expenses in an expense reimbursal system.
