Pros

- Excellent product (Relativity) with a good market share - Smooth and well-organized onboarding process - RCA Exam is good preparation for new employees - Quirky office with many nooks and crannies to explore - Talented and friendly co-workers - Great benefits - Free fruit - Energetic and inspiring CEO (Andrew Sieja) - Standing desks with powerful PCs. A previous review mentioned legacy software tools (like VB). While older parts of the codebase were written in VB, newer parts use C#, C++, Java, Python, and more. Also, the development org leverages open-source software heavily. It's not just a Microsoft shop.

Cons

- The open floor plan can be distracting. I wish it had more quiet and privacy. - The software development environment takes time to get up and running

Pros

Free Lunch on Wednesdays Solid Benefits Good pay for new hires

Cons

The flexible work week doesn't actually exist. It's an excuse to require some employees to work more than the 40 hour work week. Chicago employees are required to go into the office at least 2 days a week, even if rest of the team is remote. My specific team is without clear direction or leadership. Performative corporate jargon is rewarded over meaningful contributions. Existing employees are paid significantly less than new hires. At least on my team, there have been differences of $20 to $30K in annual salary for the same level.
