Pros

Gift card giveaways and pto. as far as my experience with the gift cards I was top agent for 4 months in a row and I did not receive not a single one. And there was multiple employees that joined within a week and gained a gift card.

Cons

Before I begin I just want to quickly state that this is for the Home Depot branch inside of results. First and foremost you are forced to learn 2 different departments in a span of 2 weeks. Major appliance and general merchandise. You’re pay is based of how good your scores are and if you’re scores don’t get better you get pay reduction. Pay rate is very below average 12 dollars an hour. The management and supervisors are a joke they do not care for there employees. The requirements to become a supervisor within the company is to be a motivator that’s all they have to do. Pretty much most of the time your problems won’t get resolved and your forced to be in very uncomfortable positions with the customer because you have absolutely zero assistance. There are multiple Home Depot sites in different areas but this goes to the Huntington WV site. It is incredibly disappointing workplace. I wouldn’t recommend. If you get offered this position I would suggest you to find something more fitting.

Pros

Great for entry level and career changers. Knowledgable management. They will pay for your non res licenses and renewals. Solid training. Fun work environment. They try to keep you working when programs end. Major medical benefits are Meh, but ancillary benefits and life insurance are a pretty good deal. Fun perks for good performance. No regrets, I enjoyed my stint there. They do alot to keep morale high. A pretty good place to get your wings. Pretty easy to get comfy there but there,s definitely a time to get your wings and fly.

Cons

No holiday pay, no vacation pay or sick pay. People come to work sick and spread germs and sicken the whole office due to not being able to miss work. PTO accrues so slow that its pointless to think theres enough to cover a stint with the flu. No longer flexible anymore as they used to be. Very difficult and practically impossible if you need just a part time schedule. Human resources is not onsite and has to be contacted online so everything seems so distant. Big building and if you work late, theres no security in sight.
