Pros
High visibility, high autonomy work is yours to take, whether you're 10 months or 10 years into your career. The product is genuinely impactful with a voracious user base, and is only scraping the surface of its TAM. Some of the most talented people I've met in my life were my coworkers at Retool.
Cons
This company does not know how it wants to win. We've reached full decision paralysis on strategy, we cannot hire leaders with vision and conviction, and it's frustrating to see so much energy go to waste because we can't operate like a team. Decision making is so decentralized that it often feels like 10 small companies operating with loose awareness of each other vs. a single organization, Our rotating door of leadership is well-meaning, but they fail to equip teams properly and play favorites when it comes to projects/strategic bets. The product is falling behind on customer trust.
