Cons

What were once thriving families of tightknit coworkers (AutoQuotes, Axonom, and several other companies) are now the victim of corporate acquisitions and mergers. They have either let all of their top talent go or are actively chasing them off with poor implementation of bad decisions, ineffective leadership, gutting company culture, and all around hypocrisy. People with product expertise have been let go, leaving those that have to take their place to dangle in the wind with less compensation than they deserve.

Pros

Lots of international travel, though unless you're C-suite it'll be in economy.

Cons

Lots of "not for me but for thee" level of pettiness to rules, policies, and attitudes among senior leadership. They're more than happy to talk up opportunity and culture and then immediately turn around and ignore it all in favor of their self-serving needs.
