Pros

Safety is considered vital. Has good processes and systems. Quite lean in organization structure for site technical services. Some good bunch of people who have been with company for quite long, who actually do the hard yards

Cons

Very little scope for employee development. Poor people management resulting in company losing very good engineers. Managers don't really groom and promote the deserving and hard working engineers. Not a thriving working culture where employees feel empowered. So many new Perth based teams with many overlapping roles and very hard to know who is doing what.

Pros

Benefits are fantastic, employee share program, inexpensive insurance options with generous HSA contributions ($3000 per year), ample opportunities for career growth for those willing to relocate (internationally sometimes)

Cons

Mining is cyclic, layoffs are always a looming threat, depending on role 50-60 hr work week is common
