Large chasm between management and entry level employees. Not sure how they compel workers to continue to put out maximum effort for little or no reward. The mantras of "promotion from within" are used as the carrot to keep people in line. Little or no room for creative input until you are middle management or above. Endless stream of potential applicants looking to live the dream, they have no problem replacing entry level employees that aren't towing the company line.
