Pros

Remote work is always a plus, but I struggle to find much else that's a pro. Just another run of the mill job at an established company still stuck in the startup mentality.

Cons

Love love love being micromanaged... One day I'm told I'm doing my job well, and the next, everything is being scrutinized as if I'm the newest hire and have never done this job before. Meetings are the worst. "This could have been an email," thy name is RoadRunner. Most meetings are reviewing a shared document where everyone has already entered notes and then they have to read their notes while everyone else sits around and waits for their turn. Efficiency has left the building. Slack is a constant barrage of "hey what's happening with this?" type of messages that are more proof that other reps are not reading notes and just want someone else to do their job for them, than they are constructive. So much gets lost in the messaging and it causes a desensitization for things that are actually urgent. Too many hats. This company shells out money like no one's business to cancel competitor contracts for customers, but that same money doesn't seem to be going back into the business to set employees up for success. Any mention of raises during company meetings results in the CEO getting nervous and outright declining to talk about it. Biggest slap in the face was when they setup an online swag shop for employees, but the employees have to pay for it....pay to own their own company's merchandise....make it make sense. Pay is low. On it's own, it's low. Considering the extra responsibility constantly added to the original job description, the pay is extremely low and not reflective of "competitive" pay (maybe with a sweat shop, but not other jobs in this market). Check ins every week and one on ones every week that feel more like team leads and managers just needing to check off a box that they talked to an employee, rather than address any concerns. A lot of "it's just because," types of answers with no resolution or even a feeling that my wellbeing as an employee matters. There is no upward movement in a lot of departments. Many reps have been in the same role for 3+ years, and yearly reviews only offer a small raise if that. Past mentions of career growth have proven fruitless, with my manager not knowing what to tell me as far as where I can go with the company. Very telling of a lack of growth if you ask me.

Pros

Most money I've ever made in this type of role. Manageable workload for the most part, unless you grab too many complex tickets or have things start to go sideways. Great benefits. Fun team atmosphere and culture. Have seen many people on my team get promoted into higher roles so far, so I feel like I can take my path in my own hands and push it as far as I want.

Cons

Disorganized and constantly evolving processes that live and die by "FYI's", many that you only suss out when you come across a new situation. They've tried to codify a lot of processes and have done a good job, but many are still "you need to find out in order to know". No robust task system that is oriented by roles and expectations/capabilities rather than individual's names, which is... ponderous. Need a role to do something? Go look in a directory for the person doing that at the moment (subject to change, may not be updated/old info, person could be on vacation, etc) then send it to them, rather than dropping a task in a bucket that someone assigned to that role sees. The difference sounds small but it's immense in practice. Some of the fees and charges a customer can accrue are difficult to explain because they're nakedly bill stuffing.
