At Rocketship you'll be surrounded by individuals who are all working incredibly hard to close the achievement gap. Coaching, observation, and feedback are all things that are constantly a part of everyones day from the Principal, AP, teacher, ILS, or support staff. You will get better at your craft and will be surrounded by people who all want to do what's best for their students and community. Feedback from teachers and staff is valued and taken seriously and I feel the network and school leaders are working hard to support teachers in the most effective way possible.
Cons
Teaching, leading, or working at Rocketship is hard work. There is a strong belief across the network that everyone is an educational professional and people are consistently held accountable for producing strong outcomes. If you are not comfortable with consistent accountability or high expectations this might not be the best fit for you. Can be difficult for some to adjust to the consistent feedback and expectations that come with being a high performing school .
