Pros

Committed to serving students and communities. Great mission.

Cons

This is no longer the organization or team that I want to be apart of or associated with professionally. Change has been difficult. New leadership has been challenging and manages to spin negativity in a way that is viewed as constructive when in reality it has broken trust and destroyed happy teams. I do not plan on returning as I have decided to work for an organization that values employees- especially those that do the hard day to day of being an educator. Leadership is not approachable and is intentionally difficult. The environment that has been created is one that is controlling and condescending. There is nothing worse than having a leader that controls through intimidation. Many see it and can’t do anything about it because they are not in the “click” that has been created.

Pros

The people here are so enjoyable to work with. Smart, down-to-earth, mission-oriented. Work-life balance is also strong and has attributed to me staying so long.

Cons

Lean teams can often mean wearing many hats and not being able to specialize/hone skills as sharply because of it
