This review comes from someone who clearly built real relationships in our DC community, and that context matters as we read the concerns about leadership and favoritism. It's fair feedback, and one thing we lean on to keep leadership accountable at every level is shared data: the outcomes teachers are responsible for in the classroom are the same numbers regional leaders are held to, so there's one standard, not different ones depending on your title. We also invest heavily in professional development because we want every staff member to actually grow here and find their community, not just get through the year. On pay, we work to keep compensation competitive, and workload expectations are part of that same ongoing conversation.

Pros

Everyone is super committed to the kids and families, it is nice to all be on the same team working hard, school leaders working hard to coach and invested in my development, amazing kids and families, good compensation and benefits especially compared to local districts and much better career opportunities

Cons

Hard work, so learning how to manage time and expectations is critical

Pros

The people here are so enjoyable to work with. Smart, down-to-earth, mission-oriented. Work-life balance is also strong and has attributed to me staying so long.

Cons

Lean teams can often mean wearing many hats and not being able to specialize/hone skills as sharply because of it
