Pros
I had a really good experience at Rockwell. I was incredibly lucky when I first got there I was put on a team with an amazing PM and very talented lead designer. They weren't the typical egotistical types and were actually just really good at their jobs. And the projects were definitely a step above what I had been working on at past firms. As I took on new projects with different teams, personalities definitely changed and I didn't love it as much as I first did. But I recognized you can't have everything and sometimes you just have to grin and bear imperfect situations to accomplish certain things. The vibe of the place is not exactly warm and that wasn't what I was expecting when I took the job. I wanted a challenge and an opportunity to move into the next phase of my career. I got exactly what I was looking for and I definitely learned a lot. When I left I was pleasantly surprised how my studio leader and past clients reached out and said really nice appreciative things to me. My experience there definitely opened some doors. I have to say I'm really appreciative because I would not be where I am now without working there.
Cons
There are so many personalities there, a lot of them coming and going, you just have to be prepared for anything. Also - this is the case anywhere, but I did feel cute flirty girls got ahead while the hardworking people went a little less recognized.
