Awful HR and management

Pros

Liberal. Office hour is flexible. You can bring dogs to the office. No dress code. People think you are in cool office.

Cons

Awful HR. HR is not professional and the person has no common sense. The person opens mouth without filtering. Poor mentorship. Some seniors are a joke. Very inscure and inexperienced seniors eat up too much money in the office. Some studios let employees work next to office renovation construction site. Office environment is very poorly done and it is disgusting. They focus on marketing not the design execution. Many times surprisingly notable clients fire them. Maybe intermediate level could grow in the environment since people know what to do but definitely I don't recommend juniors to start off from here. Guarantee that juniors can't learn anything. Some studio leaders don't know their job description. Definitely the owner has no idea what'a going on in the office and only focus on marketing and trying hard to be celebrity. The owner looks very bad and funny in the meetings. The person has no idea what he is talking about.

Pros

Misery loves company! During your tenure at Rockwell, which is likely to be short based on the turnover rate- both quitting and firing, you are likely to make great friends. These friends will be amazing, talented, and insightful, and you will bond deeply over your mistreatment, terrible bosses/managers, and general day to day miseries. Another major plus is the lunch and learns/breakfasts from sales reps! Despite your low salary, you will be able to have great lunches!

Cons

I was discriminated against on multiple offenses for which I could have employed a workplace attorney, although I ultimately decided it was not worth my time. There is no upward mobility. Any managers or higher up designers came in that level from another firm. If you join junior or intermediate, it will be a waste of time. You will not be given any opportunities and probably will not learn much either.

Pros

Glamour projects and top Clients Top firm for Hospitality,Restaurant and Entertainment design Very casual environment

Cons

Competitive with many Design Divas (not always really talented). Everyone smiles at you, but people are often not collaborative. Sometimes they talk behind your back to avoid sharing responsiblities in case of a problem. Long hours Office is caothic and with a lack of leadership. Frequent changes in the team with new hiring and laid offs
