Pros

Medium size company with decent reputation and an apparent opportunity to move up with positive results.

Cons

It's really a family owned company that hides that fact from potential employees, particularly in the Executive Suite. The reality is that it is run by some highly incompetent people who are poorly educated and trained. Often the have little or no experience outside of Rocky. They do not understand what they do not do well and simply refuse to listen. Within two years it became the worst professional experience of my entire 25 year career. Be careful....and check last names!!

Pros

Rocky Brands has provided me with opportunities to expand my responsibilities, develop new skills, and contribute in meaningful ways across the organization. Leadership encourages growth, and I've appreciated the chance to build relationships with employees at all levels while helping shape the employee experience. The culture is supportive, collaborative, and focused on continuous improvement.

Cons

Like many growing organizations, priorities can shift quickly, which requires flexibility and adaptability from employees.

Pros

Comfortable spacious office, kind coworkers, mostly reasonable and relatable managers, some perks/unique office culture offerings, location pleasant, pays a living wage

Cons

Training room is ice cold and smells a bit when warmed up. About half of the people who I know who started there got a bad cold/flu when they started and missed work, which delayed training for other in the group. Training AI to eliminate ones job. Not neurodivergent friendly—lots of exposed white fluorescent bulbs. Some managers come around for small talk during the day seemingly as a requirement and distract from work to talk about inane topics and it seems that if you dont perform well socially during these talks or bounce back from the distraction it counts against you. Some workers have been able to be promoted made themselves valuable enough to opt out without facing reprecussions but others do seem othered for not fancying the forced social interactions and events. Didn't renew my temp contract, cited the hiring of overseas workers in my place, said I was eligible for rehire, then when I reapplied after they posted the job again, they denied my application indicating that they had filled the position. Never received negative feedback or was afforded a one on one with a supervisor.
