Pros

I came to this company with no experience and went through the GYCDL program out of Phoenix Terminal. Upon successful completion I went home and sat about 4 days until assigned to my trainer. Did about 14 Otr training days and then tested out to be on my own. Their program trained me well and I didn't feel as if they just passed me to get me out there. I felt I earn it by working hard. I met my fm in person upon getting to marshfield. I felt like an asset after that meeting. I run hard meaning I stay out at a minimum of 6 weeks to 8 weeks by choice. My fm keeps my wheels turning, treats me with respect, and even supports some decisions I make under certain circumstances. I've never had a bad contact with my fm and he is my asset. We make a good team. As far as the company it's really good. Work hard, rewards come your way, have a bad attitude I'm sure you will get the same. I've only had one bad contact with a mechanic and it was settled right there between us, but outside of that it has always been positive. My pay is good, my miles are good but I certainly would take more too. Roehl is big on safety, and yes there are things people say about Roehl being too controlling. Well look at the company as a whole, their equipment, employees ect. I take pride in my job and I want to represent myself as well as my company professionally. Currently since March I'm at about 40,000 miles. My pay is averaging just over 1000.00 a week. I have benefits, brand new truck, great fm, great company all around. Come to Roehl, it will be a great choice.

Cons

I've yet to really find any that stands out to be a true con. Some people will put anything down, but for me it has to be something important to the job.

Pros

very large company, with a corporate kind of structure but yet manages to keep a small family company vibe overall. nice terminals, very well maintained equipment. fleet management is hit or miss, in my experience its more good than bad but I've definitely had some bad experiences. great place to start and get your license if you don't already have it.

Cons

at the end of the day you're expected to give 100% of your time and effort to the job for low pay, If you completed the GYCDL course; the obligatory contract that can take anywhere from 1.5-2 years unpredictable schedules

Thank you for your feedback. As you probably know, driver pay can vary depending on the fleet and division someone is in, the amount of home time a person takes and even where someone lives. We encourage you to work with your fleet manager to develop a plan for your success – we want you to be successful on TeamRoehl!
