Pros

Their equipment is pretty good, their support system is fairly decent. There was never a harsh word between the management and me.

Cons

The thing is drivers who work there need to beware. I was involved in an accident while driving for Roehl, it was not my fault, I was not cited and there was absolutely nothing I could have done to prevent this accident. The roads were covered with ice and snow, I was driving way under the speed limit for safety purposes, I already was allowing plenty of space in front of me. There was nothing I could have possibly done to prevent this accidents. It was put on my DAC report as a preventable accident. I spoke with their safety department and confronted them about the situation. The safety official on his end of the phone, looked at my file and eventually agreed with me that there was nothing I could have done to actually prevent this situation. However they refused to change it. If you are in an accident while working for real they will hold you responsible for it. It has nothing to do with whether or not you were at fault or whether or not you could have honestly prevented it. In this respect they are not very nice people. And I cannot recommend their company. I have now been rejected by three companies that I was trying to go to work for because I have a preventable accident on my DAC report. I was slandered. And I do not appreciate it

Pros

very large company, with a corporate kind of structure but yet manages to keep a small family company vibe overall. nice terminals, very well maintained equipment. fleet management is hit or miss, in my experience its more good than bad but I've definitely had some bad experiences. great place to start and get your license if you don't already have it.

Cons

at the end of the day you're expected to give 100% of your time and effort to the job for low pay, If you completed the GYCDL course; the obligatory contract that can take anywhere from 1.5-2 years unpredictable schedules

Thank you for your feedback. As you probably know, driver pay can vary depending on the fleet and division someone is in, the amount of home time a person takes and even where someone lives. We encourage you to work with your fleet manager to develop a plan for your success – we want you to be successful on TeamRoehl!
