Pros

Training program is good... Ok trucks

Cons

Low Pay. Lack of Communication.Drivers are last.equiptment ok but need repair they lack there and don't hear the drivers...what you learn in there school is not what they practice as a driver .extreme micro management camera in and out with sound. Pet deposit online 650 but it is 1000 400 in non refundable and Everytime you switch trucks another 400 detention never paid breakdowns not paid takes a act of Congress ... Communication with management is poor... One fleet manager out of two did her job the other I rarely talked to..PC is only if you cannot park at customer and hard to get.. maintenance say they fix the issue of truck only to find it was not addressed at all..drivers last office is first.. you bring a rider micro management increases...eld system is no good your Google maps does better..you will stress here which is a distraction there turn over rate is 844 percent per a fleet manager...if you resign like I did they can be petty ...another carrier told me that..there are better places to train you that will truly appreciate you..you are a cheap freight hauler simple...

Hello. Roehl is built on values, like Doing the Right Thing, Delivering Success and our cornerstone value is Safety. If you look at our Wall of Values, at the very top is Driver Driven. Across our company, our teammates are committed to creating Driver Success – to helping our driving teammates meet their personal and practical needs. An important callout is that being Driver Driven means our driving teammates lead the way. They use the Safe 7 and drive the Roehl Way to Protect Others. If there are issues that need to be addressed, the My Roehl App provides a clear chain of leadership and the opportunity to send feedback and suggestions that are then shared with our executive leadership team (including our CEO, who maintains his CDL and still hauls loads to stay close to the work our driving teammates do for our customers). If you have not already done so, please work with your Fleet Manager to develop a plan for your success – because we want you to be a safe, successful member of our great team.

Pros

very large company, with a corporate kind of structure but yet manages to keep a small family company vibe overall. nice terminals, very well maintained equipment. fleet management is hit or miss, in my experience its more good than bad but I've definitely had some bad experiences. great place to start and get your license if you don't already have it.

Cons

at the end of the day you're expected to give 100% of your time and effort to the job for low pay, If you completed the GYCDL course; the obligatory contract that can take anywhere from 1.5-2 years unpredictable schedules

Thank you for your feedback. As you probably know, driver pay can vary depending on the fleet and division someone is in, the amount of home time a person takes and even where someone lives. We encourage you to work with your fleet manager to develop a plan for your success – we want you to be successful on TeamRoehl!
