Pros

They pay you to get your cdl. Roehls “safe 7” actually set me up well to be a safe driver. I’m a better driver for having learned it.

Cons

Terrible work environment. Lots of empty promises. Will give you your cdl after 3 weeks of training, and then leave you to the wolves at some of the most challenging facilities in the country.

We appreciate the callout on the Safe 7. Roehl Transport is one of North America’s safest trucking companies as recognized by the American Trucking Associations (ATA). Roehl Transport is a 5-time recipient of the ATA’s President’s Award, the trucking industry’s highest safety honor. Our company is built on values (like Safety, Doing the Right Thing & being Driver Driven), and people seek out our on-the-job training program to start their careers because we invest in our teammates’ success. We hope you’ll use the Safe 7 and drive the Roehl Way to Protect Others in your future endeavors.

Pros

very large company, with a corporate kind of structure but yet manages to keep a small family company vibe overall. nice terminals, very well maintained equipment. fleet management is hit or miss, in my experience its more good than bad but I've definitely had some bad experiences. great place to start and get your license if you don't already have it.

Cons

at the end of the day you're expected to give 100% of your time and effort to the job for low pay, If you completed the GYCDL course; the obligatory contract that can take anywhere from 1.5-2 years unpredictable schedules

Thank you for your feedback. As you probably know, driver pay can vary depending on the fleet and division someone is in, the amount of home time a person takes and even where someone lives. We encourage you to work with your fleet manager to develop a plan for your success – we want you to be successful on TeamRoehl!
