Pros
Free access to RosettaStone software; How awesome that I can add languages to my resume! A great (but limited) employee discount program. Mostly flexible schedule for part-timers. A "uniform" shirt.
Cons
The company does not "advertise" its retail kiosk locations. No advertising means that most people "stumble upon" the kiosk. Most people are not going to drop $700 or even $500 at a location they stumbled upon. So...customers stop for a demo. And because they are not going to spend $700 on a whim, they research it "online." And then BUY it online. Sales associates receive no commission for any online sales. NOTE: Someone from corporate "slipped" and said that ~70% of online sales are generated by the kiosks. If you are an "adult" and know how to behave in the workplace, you will find Rosetta Stone's policies on what is/is not "acceptable and appropriate" work behavior oppressive. If management took a minute and hired "adults." Your co-workers will steal your sales. You may work hard with a customer and they return on your day off and your co-worker rings the sale on his/her sales number. It's bad when it's the manager, because where does THAT complaint go? Ugly uniform shirt. (Yes, I put it as a "pro," but it's ugly.)
