Pros
Benefits were traditionally good but have eroded to the point where rapidly increasing healthcare costs and lack of raises have resulted in take home pay decreasing yearly. Vacation, personal, and sick time are still competitive but there is little evidence that this trend will continue in the future.
Cons
Wage increases are non-existent due to the state of New York. There is no room for personal advancement unless you are willing to wait for extremely long periods of time for other employees to retire. There is no evidence that the organization is any closer to a cure for cancer than it was when it was founded 100 years ago. Wages are not competitive with private companies.
