      This job will provide you with healthcare experience if you have none. This job will teach you to multitask and handle a larger patient load than others in similar jobs elsewhere.

      Cons

      Don't be catfished by the fancy title. You are a PCT, and it is doubtful you will perform "nursing skills". You will be exposed to many body fluids!

      Great Co-Workers, great leadership, and I really enjoy the work culture.

      12 hour shifts are hard but I get my steps in.

      Pros

      Staff typically works well together despite the cons. You’re collectively keeping your head above water to survive.

      Cons

      Pay, staffing are garbage. Other systems pay considerably more. Think of private equity firms without the inevitable bankruptcy. Focus is on profits, not staff or patients. ER is ran on a skeleton crew with no incentive to pickup extra shifts. Lots of pressure to “help the team” which is code for work harder for less.
