Pros

Friendly staff, management that shows appreciation for your work, bonuses yearly, tuition reimbursement is great, benefits were amazing, location is nice.

Cons

Rapport is off, you will be getting report for five patients from several other nurses. The technology is dated, emar meditech looks like it operates on Windows 95 and is not even close to the current version. Too much time spent charting. Communication is through old cellphones from the 90s and walkie-talkies. The older cna staff act insubordinate and some of the older nurses are rude to new nurses and staff.

Great Co-Workers, great leadership, and I really enjoy the work culture.

Cons

12 hour shifts are hard but I get my steps in.

Pros

Staff typically works well together despite the cons. You’re collectively keeping your head above water to survive.

Cons

Pay, staffing are garbage. Other systems pay considerably more. Think of private equity firms without the inevitable bankruptcy. Focus is on profits, not staff or patients. ER is ran on a skeleton crew with no incentive to pickup extra shifts. Lots of pressure to “help the team” which is code for work harder for less.
